And I think the Blue Jays kind of overperformed.
I talk all the time about how the playoffs are such a crapshoot.
And if you get in, you have a chance.
I don't think that the Blue Jays were necessarily the best team.
Team in the American League last year, they just got in the playoffs and played well in the playoffs.
And so I'm not overly surprised that they're not, you know, taking the ALEs by storm this year.
But it is a little jarring to have a season of overperforming to the point of like, oh, they they're, you know, Isaiah kind of fell off a spike away from from winning it.
to kind of now underperforming.
And that's not, it feels more than just your average variance of like, yeah, they're kind of near their ceiling.
They're kind of near their floor.
Like when they're doing the best they can do, followed by like really, really not close to the best they can do.
It can be confusing, but I don't think it's a bad team.
I think, you know, small adjustments, reload for next year would be my, if I were in charge, that's kind of the angle that I think I would take.
And there are many, many reasons that I'm not in charge though.
I'm very, very bad at predictions.
I don't like them, and I don't remember what predictions I made, but I think that I picked the Red Sox to win the AL East this year, maybe.
If not, I definitely had the thought that with that rotation, they had a shot to do it.
And the thing is, their pitching was pretty good, and that turnaround started in early June.
So those signs were there that this is not as bad a team.
