You know what I'm saying?

I got to come beat my tail against something.

But it's a caged bird thing.

You can't keep the bird in the cage.

You got to let it go.

But the irony is that, so as a captain, I'd go off on boats all the time.

Sometimes they'd even live on them, running them.

And so I really didn't sleep in the same bed for many weeks in the stretch.

And this project has grounded me beyond, in a different way.

Yeah, because I have a routine and I need to stick to it to get optimum performance.

And a big part of that is sleep and sleeping well.

I've always loved boats as a passport to other things.

And I think that's why people own boats.

So you might go down to Marina del Rey and it's packed with boats that don't move, but people won't sell them.

And they don't sell them because it's the dream, the idea, the passport is the best word, where they could literally cast off their life and go off around the world.

And so it embodies that.

And I've loved boats for that and every kind of boat because they take you places.

It's another life.

I love writing.

In fact, sometimes I think, am I doing this just so I can write about it?
