Why is there such anger?
And it's a great question because if you are white and if you do a nine to five job and you work and you provide for your children, you don't really have time to educate yourselves on things that, in your point, if you don't concern you.
So I don't get frustrated or angry when people don't understand where this anger comes from.
or this reason to protest at the moment.
Because to do that, you need to have these conversations.
So players are asking me in terms of what should we say, what should we do?
And my answer to them always is say what you think.
Don't be afraid.
I think for too long, racism has been a taboo subject in our society.
And in order to break down those barriers, we need people to be able to feel safe, to be able to say what they think and be challenged in a respectful way for us to move forward.
It was strange.
You know, we were working to all the, you know, the protocols that coronavirus has caused us to prepare for.
And, you know, we've been working on four players to a pitch, moving up to eight players to a pitch.
Thankfully, now we're into 11 v 11.
And it's been funny because the players are so raring to go.
We've had to calm them down a little bit and jumping into tackles and their enthusiasm and energy to play at the moment is absolutely fantastic.
I think a lot of them have said to me they've taken football for granted for so long.
So to miss out on two or three months of football for something that's so important, really it brings back home how lucky they are to be footballers and they've been fantastic since they've been back in.
we just want to win the next game because if you win the next game you've probably got the opportunity to be within three points the way that the points totals are adding up and Scott I enjoyed working with you all of last season on the championship it's an amazing league because any team beats any team on any week
And we know we're consistent over the next nine games.
