They're they're really patient in that five four one.
You look at kind of where they rank, they're second for clearances, but they're fifth for tackles in the defensive third.
So they're actually quite content to not just sit deep but also not always engage teams, as Rob is saying, saying, Okay, cross into the box, we can clear it, we've got three big centre backs.
Um I think it's big kind of vibes to Sunderland last year in terms of how well they are kind of playing those margins.
But they do have a really good kind of attacking threat going forward.
They get the wing backs involved.
Ryan Giles off the left is really good, get tired.
crossed the ball in um almost made a winning goal away to Chelsea had a great chance at the back post and I think a word for Holly McBurney too because he's been so good at I think it can be quite a thankless task sometimes being a striker in that system where you're probably barely going to touch the ball.
A lot of your job is kind of standing on the number six and say, can I just disrupt their play?
But repeatedly he wins duels, wins flick-ons.
The build up to the first goal comes 'cause he basically pins the centre back, the long ball drops over his head, Giles gets into that position to
to kind of hit the low cross and um sure hatto makes a mistake, but kind of getting into those positions to force teams to make mistakes.
So um there's really good elements to that, but look, let's be fair, they're obviously not going to keep this up all season long.
I think it's a really good basis for them to try and, you know, launch a a survival bid from, which at the start of the season
Oh, I mean pretty much everyone had them as twentieth, right?
Or definitely being relegated.
So I think you try and bank as many points as you can while you've got momentum, while you've got a good start.
And then when the the tricky period comes in kind of Christmas time, the pinch point of all the fixtures, then you just try and ride the wave and and get through that.
Yeah, so this is an a nice mix to kind of show team style.
Now, a big caveat that we're four games into a season, so this is you know, there's not a huge number of games to go from.
