I didn't know how I was going to get them back.

Because if she'd taken my green pair or my purple pair or my plain black pair, I wouldn't have minded so much.

But my Diamante lined ones, I really cared about it.

You know, I asked a few people, not many, just a couple of the rock stars, whether they thought it would be all right if I asked for my eyelashes back.

But I never got up the courage.

I interviewed them again at their place in Los Angeles and that was my big opportunity.

I prepared a speech about my eyelashes.

That was Sonny and Cher.

I never made it.

Yeah, that was Sonny and Cher.

I was at their house and

Sonny, to me, looked as though he was dominating and trying to answer every question I asked Cher.

And the atmosphere was a little uncomfortable.

And I just thought, I think I have to stop thinking I'll ever get my eyelashes back.

And I felt sorry for Cher because he just kept interrupting me.

I think she was a force of nature anyway.

You know, she just poured herself into everything.

And I think this subsequently became public that she was pretty bossed around by Sonny

And to me, it was very, very evident.

I actually tried to phrase my questions with her name in it and look at her, and it didn't stop.
