We walked out first.

There was a team of eight of us, obviously eight lanes.

We'd put down the box.

Don't look at the athlete.

Don't look around.

Just put down the box and focus.

We took our job very seriously.

But that moment when you walk out into an Olympic stadium, you can't help but... Why?

It's just...

80 000 people is just so many people it's a magnitude of people and there's british flags there's other countries flags but everyone has this look of joy and pride on their faces we've got a home olympic games and that's something that not a lot of us will experience in our lifetimes and i don't think the uk will experience it for a very very long time so i was very fortunate to be at the london olympic games um just to see how many people showed up for the 100 minute prelims it's like

Incredible.

And yeah, and we just put down the box and the cheer was very loud.

But what was an even better experience than that was we kit carried for Jessica Ennis' 200 metres heptathlon race.

Now this was in the nighttime.

So this was another shift.

So what would happen is we'd do a kit carrying shift.

We'd then go back into a sort of little staff room with all the other little teams.

And when it was our turn, they'd go, right, kit carries for the heptathlon 200, up you get.

And so we'd get up, all eight of us.

My sister sneakily took box six because she knew that that was Jessica Ennis' lane.
