And I absolutely love every single hurdles race.

So for me, it was my calling.

It was very much this is, yeah, I'd love to do something where there's barriers involved.

Okay.

I do.

So I grew up in East London, if you could probably tell from the accent, in a place called Leytonstone.

I loved living there.

It wasn't, at the time when I was growing up, it wasn't a very good area to live in.

It was, you know, we grew up in a council estate and it was very much quite dangerous.

And actually the other day we went back and we saw some of the people that we grew up with and they're talking about, you know, coming out of prison and so-and-so still in prison.

And it's just crazy that we grew up there.

But I actually, I feel like it shaped the person I am.

I, so it's funny, I didn't realize we weren't affluent, if you will, until much later in life.

So I grew up with, so it's me and my twin sister and my single mom.

My mom is from Sudan, which is somewhere we used to go to a lot when we had our summer holidays.

And when we'd go to Sudan, we'd see people living in mud huts, people, children barefoot, people literally having nothing.

And so when I would come back to this council estate, I'd look at us and be like, oh my God, we've got rooms.

We've got a roof.

We've got walls.

We've got stuff.
