Yeah, that is a whole subject area in itself.

Those cultural... I mean, I've lived in Switzerland, I've lived in France, I've lived in the US and I've lived in the UK.

And I would say that you...

Those cultural differences are so important to understand.

I was talking about this yesterday with a friend who is...

who was brought up in the UK, but is married to a German.

And we were discussing the differences between the ways that Germans and the British people just sort of speak to each other.

And Germans often, you live in Germany, Germans often come over as quite rude because they're very direct and they don't get it when you speak to them in English speak, which is kind of like skirting subject and hoping that they're going to get it.

They don't.

And and and so, you know, there's a we think that's rude and impolite.

They just think that it's normal, direct speaking so that people can understand you.

Right.

And you can understand them.

Same in the US.

Right.

So I often used to get comments because they know that the British are more sarcastic than the Americans are.

And the adage is that they don't understand irony.

So I used to get off and get comments like, are you being sarcastic?

I'd say something quite normal and they'd say, are you being sarcastic?

I'm like, actually not.
