There is the brain science to support that.
Because when you share a story about how you made a difference, your frontal lobes light up.
So if I sat here at the meeting and said, okay, we all got to hit these numbers.
We got to do this.
We got this business problem we need to solve.
Like, we all want to do a good job.
We'll probably listen.
But if I start that meeting and say, tell me about the story where you made a difference, everybody's frontal lobes will light up.
Your frontal lobes are where empathy and compassion sits, also where problem solving and creativity sits.
So if I go around the table and we all tell the story about how we made a difference, and I say, now we've got this business problem we need to solve.
I will literally be dealing with a smarter group of people
than if I hadn't done the stories.
Like literally, I will be dealing with people, and those of you who are just listening cannot see, I'm pointing to my forehead, to my frontal lobes, because they will be all lit up, and those are the people that can actually solve a problem, be creative.
So it seems like you don't have time to tell these stories.
But if I told you serving this particular Kool-Aid would up the IQ of everyone in the room by 10% and up their creativity, you would do it.
This is literally helping people with the Kool-Aid.
I repeated what the scientist at Harvard found.
So I'll give you an example.
We were dealing with a medical company, and they had this drug that was clinically proven to be 10% better than the competitors.
like legit 10% better.
