And I thought about it for a second.

I said, have you ever checked to see if there are any Australians on the Titanic?

A couple of days went by and I said to him, did you check?

And I thought, I've got a computer.

I've heard of that thing called the internet, even Google.

So I looked it up and I discovered that there was six Australian-born passengers and crew on the Titanic and only one Australian-born survivor.

a young 28-year-old nurse from the back blocks of South Australia who was a nurse stewardess on the Titanic.

And the more I looked into it, and there was not a lot of detail, but the bare bones of the story were incredible.

And I called Pete and I said, I think I've found gold.

Like, this story is amazing.

And he said, yeah, it sounds great.

Yeah.

And I said to Pete, you need to call your publisher.
