Cathy and I have known each other since I was at Dolly and I got Cathy to write for us on Dolly.

She's probably, I think, the funniest woman I've ever met in my life.

She's also the craziest, gutsiest person

most alive woman I know.

She fights the good fights.

She has challenges in her own life, which she talks about publicly, so I'm not sharing any secrets.

But she's just a whirlwind of joy and creativity and political passions and passion.

her adoration of other women is just something that's fabulous to be around.

I would say when I was doing the Today Show because it became difficult to get to things if they were happening first thing in the morning or things at night because you're meant to go to bed early when you get up at 3 o'clock every morning.

Did you go to bed early?

It depended because the thing with that job is quite often you don't know that you're about to interview the prime minister until late at night.
