So he really has managed to make Judge Altman pretty pissed off.
At this point, someone inside the Trump administration comes up with the plan, and the plan involves getting the government inside this case.
And the hook that they come up with rides on these subpoenas that the BBC has served on the 12 government agencies.
So the Justice Department files what is captioned a notice of interest.
They say, we're an interested party because you subpoenaed the FBI and the National Park Service and the NSA, which kind of sounds logical, except that there's already a legal mechanism in place to deal with subpoenas on government agencies, so-called third-party subpoenas, right, when the agency is not the target of a lawsuit.
It's sort of like a witness.
