And so, you know, there were th I think that's just the nature of research though.

Well, um, I I'm always a little embarrassed by like sh the dates of the uh study because it's like a very long period of time.
Um it took it took several years.
And again, the pandemic did sort of I actually like when the pandemic hit, I was actually down in um one of the sites to try to do interviews and then everything was falling apart.
It's like okay, I think I'd better go.
Um, so so it did take a little bit longer, and then you know, everything switched over to video.
So I think all in all, it actually took about like, you know, two to four years maybe to finish up all the interviews.
And I think also, you know, as we started doing more analysis, we started being like, Oh, I think we actually need to interview these people and these people.
And then, you know, that's the process of qualitative research.
There's like a sort of um uh process between data collection and data analysis where you go back.
and forth um as the data evolves.
And so, you know, as we started coming up with more like hypotheses and themes and and theories of how things worked, we would actually go back and start interviewing more people.
And so
I think there was a point when I thought data analysis had finished and then I was like, Well, I think I need more, so we kept going.
Um, so I think that the headline would be um that policies, practices, protocols, and resources um of a hospital, um, you know, what hospitals invest in influences hospital cultures.
Um, and that influences the way that we practice medicine, um, you know, broadly, but specifically for this paper, um, how we practice medicine at the end of life for patients who are near the end of life and
how that that influences intensity of end of life care.
