There's only so much business to go around.
Goldman either needs to make the case that they're better at that than...
competitors are from an actual execution standpoint, that their widgets are better, or they need to come with better ideas and they need to have better service, right?
You can beat people on service, you can beat them on price, you can beat them on product, and they've got to find the right mix of that.
It could.
One disadvantage that Goldman has in the corporate trading business, we don't think of companies as being big traders, but if you're Exxon, you have huge exposure to oil prices, and so you do all kinds of trading to manage that.
If you're GE, you sell light bulbs all over the world, you're exposed to all kinds of currency risks, you do all kinds of trading.
The big commercial banks have a huge advantage there because they're big lenders.
They have the loans that keep the lights on at these companies, and so it's a very easy sell to say, well, let us do your trading business.
Goldman's making some efforts with corporate clients.
They obviously have very good relationships with lots of companies.
They need to figure out how to make that.
It's banking business.
They need to figure out how to make that trading business.
So, yeah, they're doing some better.
They're making some changes to how they talk to corporate clients about that.
But that's going to be tough because they do not have the big lending book that a lot of other banks do.
