I think that balance is a little out of whack post-pandemic.

There are other cities in Texas and Florida that have what started as kind of protest pitches, come here because New York is terrible, have turned into protests.

The world itself is fracturing in a way that may make New York's role as the capital of capitalism a little less salient going forward.

You're going to see big economic centers in a lot of countries start to reassert themselves.

Money flows are going to shift.

I wonder if New York City isn't slightly overplaying its hand here.

And look, vocationally, I'm fairly skeptical of Wall Street billionaires.

That's my job.

But I do think that they have a little more power in this particular fight because they can credibly pick up and say, not only am I going to go to Palm Springs and sit in my mansion down there, but I'm actually going to create my office down there.

Yeah, exactly.

Palm Beach.

Yeah, exactly.

Miami.

But it's more credible.

It's a thousand degrees in New York.

I'd rather be anywhere.

But they have a more credible argument to say that we are actually going to leave and take some of this economic activity with us.

I don't think, look, do I think Goldman Sachs is not going to have a giant office in lower Manhattan anytime soon?
