Well I I you think you mentioned this too a little bit on how you write.

But it for me it was it was therapy.

We did not know about therapy, we didn't think about sending me to therapy and there was a little bit of the well, you know, you weren't raped, get over it.

And and I felt that too, but I I wasn't getting over it.

So the journaling was just helping me get it out of my system.

And years later, though, the way the book is set up, the protagonist is a journalist named Laura.

So so maybe I became a journalist after all, right?

But um she is attacked similar to me, so that part's not fiction.

And uh she decides to write a legal story of what would have happened had she shot and killed her assailant.

Now she's a journalist, so she doesn't know the law and she decides to work with a young black lawyer.

And he's very knowledgeable in the rules of self defence, but every once in a while he'll say something about that night that she never told him.

And so she starts to freak out.

Is she hyper vigilant?

Could this be the guy?

And um

And so um the story plays on from there.

So you find out, you know, is he the guy or not?

You find out a lot about

when you have the legal right to to draw your firearm, which I knew nothing about.

So to me it was it was very interesting.
