And Laura also to answer your question goes through EMDR, which is a type of uh therapy for trauma, something I never went through but I I wrote about and I'm and I'm finding more and more that when I do my book talks.

women especially are more familiar with EMDR today than even when the first the book first came out.

Well every book and I'm in the phase right now where I'm like, I'm not doing another one.

You know, you release the one and I'm like, I'm not doing another one.

Um, because it's it's so hard, you know, and the reviews come so slowly.

And uh but uh the second one was I was at a class, a self-defense class, and the instructor who's a uh detective, had me come to this class and I thought that there's so much valuable information in here, I could write about it.

So that sparked me to think about writing the second one.

And I have to know the protagonist, I have to know the antagonist, I have to know the twist ending because they all have twists.

And then I also have to know the the opener.

So how are we gonna grip the reader and pull them in?

And and when I know those things, uh, it's I get started, and they all have social causes.

So I educate, but I also entertain, and you know, I entertain.

Well, I do a lot of interviews and the the second and third one are pure fiction.

The fourth one is also based on uh real events in my life.

But I do a lot of interviews, whether it's uh a detective or a pilot, because the third one has a charter pilot in it, or um lawyers, y you name it.

So part of what works for me is I outline and then I figure out who I need to talk to to get the material that I need.

So I I mean I go back

to maybe I am a journalist after all, an investigative journalist in a way.

And uh and that's how I write, but I I don't have any particular time that I write or any
