And most schools are really good on values for parents and have that information handy sometimes.
Yeah, and none of them are right and none of them are wrong.
But for me, in early childhood, it's where children have the time and the agency over their time and their learning without any interruptions.
So they're allowed to explore with a kaiako assisting, not dominating.
And it's a very fluid and organic process that just happens.
It's peers and modelling.
Definitely, and role modelling.
So you'll find a teacher sitting there eating it as well.
So, you know what, if you're going to say to one, well done, you've eaten all your lunch up today, the other 10 at the table are going to really, really fast.
I've been around a long time.
And I look with wonder at a lot of the younger parents today.
I was in the supermarket the other day and I followed a dad with a little 18-month-old in the trolley.
And as I was walking around the supermarket, the 18-month-old was making sounds.
And the dad was oblivious to everyone else in the supermarket and making the most amazing sounds back.
And I think one is following your child's lead.
You know, that child that we call them serve and return interactions.
So if a child gives you an interaction, put your jolly phone away and return that interaction.
So serve and return interactions, big, biggest thing out there.
But also...
Parents are really good at pointing out things.
