But that was so fascinating.

But when I've been pouring my kids bathwater out, it's just been going on my favourite plants.

But maybe I should be thinking about the soil health more widely.

No, the last one here was in 1999 and I was around then, but I don't remember seeing it.

So the first thing is to actually make sure you're in a place where you have a line of sight to the sun.

And then, yeah, DIY options are actually brilliant.

All of them really involve making a kind of like a pinhole type camera.

You put a pin through one piece of paper.

You hold that kind of over your shoulder with your back to the sun.

And then it projects a little inverted image onto another piece of paper that you hold out in front of you.

So you're going to kind of see the shrinking crescent as the moon moves in front of the sun.

A colander works perfectly.

That's it.

And because there are so many little pinholes, effectively, it's kind of almost like a disco ball effect.

You have like lots of these little crescent images appear and just gaps in the trees.

Like if you're under a tree canopy, the little tiny holes that the sun makes its way through, you can even use those.
