The thing about the question to me is, I think there's lots of gates I can think of that are closed, but I wouldn't say that I necessarily closed them.
Life.
Life closed all my gates for me.
Is that not what it feels like retrospectively?
Yeah, I suppose.
Even when you make a big decision in the moment, many, many years later or even six months later, you look back and I think it becomes harder to pinpoint the inner workings of the decision.
And then it feels less like a decision and more like a thing like happened.
I had a, like, over the course of the last calendar year, pretty big fallout with someone who'd been my best friend for about five years.
