Well, I have to say, my view started off with was having not followed the rest of their tournament that closely was that, oh, is this a case of this is a team that's already qualified and therefore they're kind of

taking their foot off the gas a little bit.

I had thought going in that maybe the lineup would be, you'd see less of a strong starting lineup.

And then when you saw that with what felt like a lot of the first choice players playing in those positions, like, oh, okay, they're going for it here.

But then they just felt very passive and very kind of, again, I think because of the aura of Germany that you talked about, Rick, I was like, ah, I see what this is.

This is a rope-a-dope.

They're allowing Ecuador to bully them, to press them really hard, to take the ball off them.

And then, you know, the Ecuadorian players will wilt in the hot New Jersey sun and the Germans will roll over them.

And it didn't happen.

And it felt like it was only going to end one way.

And, you know, lo and behold, it did.
