Fast forward two years, 1918, the U.S.
adopts DSD for the same reason, but repealed in 1919 after the war amid public complaint, much of it from the agricultural community.
I'd always thought that the ag community loved daylight savings time.
Like, that was the whole point.
It is not the case.
They do not like it.
1920s, DSD becomes optional, daylight savings time.
There's limited local adoption.
