The second step you said, starting a Roth IRA or saving 10% of your income.
I have started using the phrase that we're going to have a parent matching program.
Having some kind of match that encourage incentivizes kids to start saving in something like a Roth IRA, I think is a great way to not just give them money, but to give them money to save for the future.
So if they put $100 in a Roth IRA, they're making enough income, you put another $100 in, give them $200 that goes into a Roth IRA.
So having their skin in the game, but also participating and giving them a little bit of match into a retirement program, I think is a great way as well.
And then the last thing you said, again, it's about having conversations and dialogues with
on a regular basis in your household about world events, about what's going on in the news, so that there is an education component of learning more about how this financial system works.
Because no matter what you do as a profession, you're going to have to deal with money.
So having that in the forefront of your household, I think, is really important.
I know what the problem is.
Amanda has trust issues.
And I think what's important too is getting that team together, like you mentioned, Quint, and bringing those people together.
And that likely, if it's sizable assets, includes an advisor as well.
Someone that is managing the investments and hopefully has a good relationship with your family.
Um, that can interact.
We've done this many times.
I'm not trying to speak our own book, but we've done this many times to be able to talk with the next generation or the people that are going to inherit these trusts down the road.
Not only does that get everybody to know each other, which is really helpful, but then you have another person in the room that knows the situation that knows the desires of you all as the parents and,
and can help guide the kids from not only just, oh, yeah, we'll send money out to you, but this is what I would do in your situation, or here's the best financial thing to do now that you have this trust and how to manage it appropriately.
