Why is it continuing to go?
It's keeping up with the Joneses.
They're trying to keep up with their friends that they see on Instagram, what they're doing, their overseas travel.
They're doing this.
They're doing that.
They're going to Disney, which costs as much as overseas travel.
They're doing those things.
And I see it all the time.
And I'm like...
oh man, I wish I was going down there.
But I know for the most part, my friends and family and their financial situation, and I know it's getting funded by debt.
And it is a massive, massive mistake in my opinion.
Step one, just agree.
Yeah, we buy a payment, right?
learning the art to say not yet not right now and that's why it's every time we do back to the basics at the beginning of the year one of our episodes one we really focus on those steps because that's how you avoid these two things and then two one of the big episodes is saying no and and turning down some of those things that people are doing that they truly can't afford but they're doing them anyways
Yeah, because we don't, the debt building up, and we kind of are on the same lines, liquidity and having those steps and everything.
We have lived in a time, the economy has been really good for a while.
A lot of people out there right now are robbing Peter to pay Paul.
They're doing various different things.
They're building up the debt because they assume their good, high-paying job is just going to continue forever.
