And it's funny because, um, a lot of the songs that were originally meant to be part of the soundtrack were by completely different songwriters, like whole different set of songs.

And one by one, Pasek and Paul would pitch a song and then the director and the people involved would would take it on one by one.
And then they ended up writing the whole soundtrack.
And I'm so glad because it's so great and so cohesive.
But yeah, I remember singing a totally different song that was meant to be like Jenny Lynn's big ballad.
Totally different song.
Yeah.
Yeah, so the the movie evolved in such a way, but it was kind of confusing because I would hear that, you know, the executives were unsure about it.
And it was just seemed like an uphill battle.
And it really was the director's baby.
And he he's so wonderful, Michael Gracie, and he was just fighting for this.
And I think they did so many different variations of the script to try to get it greenlighted.
And there's that video of all of us singing This Is Me with Keala Settle.
And we knew we needed to sing for our lives to make this movie happen.
And so we did.
As you can see, it's very high energy.
Yeah, and that's me with the really short, dark, curly hair.
