I don't want him out of the lineup.

He's always trying to get something done, whether it's drop a bunt, steal a base, hit a sack fly, you know, or a key base hit.

So I like him in there, stick him in there as long as the other guys don't come back from injuries.

And concerning Hoffman, I mean,

I don't think the manager's doing him any services right now.

I think, you know, on Monday when Gosman came out, he was up 8-0, and I think it was 10-1 at some point.

Those were some perfect innings to throw him out there, let him figure out some stuff in a situation where he can give up a couple of runs and it's not the end of the world because right now we're not really helping him, throwing him back out into the fire in a situation that clearly he's not really comfortable in right now.
