Like let's say you were working at a Fortune five hundred company and this anytime you message the CEO on Slack.
Yeah
You know, he or she is responding right away.
You would kind of wonder, like, why are they so responsive?
Are they not in important meetings, like in strategy sessions?
Like, what's going on?
And so, similarly, if you're the person who takes on everything, who responds right away, who's just always, always at the ready, that becomes what people know you for.
And instead, people actually respect you more when you can say, you can still be helpful.
Sure, I'm happy to take that on.
However, I have XYZ on my plate and X takes priority, so I can't get to that until three weeks from now.
Or I could move that up, but I'll need to talk to my manager first because I know this is a company priority and some things might need to shift if we decide that this takes precedence.

Well, I love that you gave that example because earlier we were talking about video presence being a great digital first impression.

Crazier because LinkedIn, you don't even need to be there live.
So someone comes up to your profile and that's your digital first impression.
And they form that with ever without ever having to even meet you, potentially.
And so that is a very, very powerful tool that you have at your disposal.
And so the first thing I like to say about LinkedIn is a mindset shift.
