But for this, instead, like you might have fancier pastas, but I want you just to use what you have.
So chorizo has loads of flavour and it's quite a budget-friendly item to put in your shopping basket.
I use the mild one so it's not too spicy for my kids.
And then you can pair that with chicken breast or chicken thigh and whatever is on offer and whatever is within your budget.
So you might prefer free-range chicken and that's fine as well.
But
You know, just, you know, buy what you like to eat.
You know, there's no point in buying the really budget stuff if it's not what you like to eat.
But this is a one pot meal and it can be made in 30 minutes.
So you just cook down the onions and you add in the chorizo and they add the chicken and then you add the pasta and tomato and stock and cook it down.
And then we're finishing it with a bit of cream and some spinach or peas, frozen peas from the freezer.
We'll always bulk it out too.
But
Essentially, you're using what you have.
So for that day, I had pasta and I had peas in the freezer.
So I only needed three or four items to make the dish and it kept it under the โฌ10.
Yeah, it's important to cook them out first.
Yeah, and pork, like beef is kind of getting pricey now.
If you keep an eye on it, I was actually surprised to see how much it had jumped up in the last few months.
So pork is a great alternative and maybe something that people don't always think of.
