Important, number one, that they know the coach.
They've had conversations.
I'm sure there was a lot of things that were talked about in those meetings.
I'm sure they will talk about it more if it does come to fruition and they start to talk about it a little bit more and what those conversations were like.
But secondly for me, and I think more important, it's the accountability.
If the players have signed off on this coach and Mike Babcock coming in, then therefore they've kind of put their stamp on it.
And now it's up to them to go out and play a certain way and play a certain system and play the way he's going to preach for them to play coming in here.
And that's everybody.
Everybody that signed off on that now has that accountability.
of them saying, okay, we signed off on this guy.
We asked to bring him in.
Well, now go and show why you thought he was the right guy.
And you know what?
There's going to be a lot of people that are going to be keeping a watchful eye on this because of the conversations that have happened and some of the things that have come out.
But listen, if they go out there and do their job and they go out there and play the way they can, I think that people will understand whether or not he was the right guy.
I think they're playing on the ice to decide whether that's the right opinion.
