In game seven, credit Florida, they closed it out.

But that could have gone either way, I think, with the way Edmonton was playing.

So they lead in different ways.

Jonathan Taves was one of the best leaders I think the game has seen.

in my opinion, and there's going to be people that are going to argue that through and through, but when you have a team like he had in Chicago with all those high offensive players and all the stars they had, he needed somebody to step forward and be the guy in the hard moments, and he was.

No question.

Again, he had a lot of help, but he stepped up in big ways, and he did it for Team Canada, too.

You know, he elevated himself by the end of his first tournament representing Team Canada, where he was the best forward and Drew Dowdy was the best defenseman.

Louie, awesome stuff.

So I've got a lot of time for Jonathan Pace.

The fact that we're talking about leadership and even putting McDavid in the same sentence as that, I think McDavid's come a long way, and he's still learning.

You know what?

Exciting game.

Two really good teams going at it.

And, you know, what a start for Carolina with Ehlers coming out scoring the first two goals.

But as the Vegas Golden Knights have done throughout these playoffs, patient, poised, little conversation by John Tortorella seemed to settle things down.

And this is a veteran team that there's no question playing their best hockey.
