And for Edmondson, listen, the one thing we've talked about in these last few years, Bob, is the fact that
They haven't had any room in the cap.
They haven't been able to really kind of do anything because they're up against it, always up against it, up against it.
That's what happens when you're a good team, when you've gone to a conference final and two Stanley Cup finals in a period of four years.
That's going to happen.
You're going to have to pay your players.
So it allowed Stan Bowman with some nifty work to be able to clear that cap space and bring in some different people.
I don't have a huge book on him, but the one thing that I do remember is when Edmonton was in Pittsburgh this year, and it was a tough game for Edmonton in there.
He was really good.
He was really good against Edmonton.
And I remember we talked about him a few times in the telecast.
His name came up a few times.
Jack and I kind of looked at each other a couple times.
We're like, geez, this guy was pretty good in that game, made a lot of nice plays.
And you know what?
Listen, good on him.
He's a guy that broke through, you know, came through and found a way to jump into a team and have good numbers on a team that had a resurgence last year, and he was a big part of that.
So
They felt comfortable giving him the deal they gave him, and he'll be excited to come in here and be a big part of the Edmonton Oilers.
