And it didn't seem like, you know, there was anything to jump at. And then we found out, courtesy of Elliott Friedman, that San Jose had entered the chat and boom, a deal gets done. And it changed the entire complexion of the day for the Edmonton Oilers. First of all, your thoughts on Darnell Nurse, his time as an Edmonton Oiler, and then also what resulted as a result of that cap space being opened up.
Yeah, you know what? Well, wish him nothing but the best. He's a true pro. Anytime I talk to Darnell, you know, that's the one thing. He punched his card in when he came to work. He punched out when he went out from work, and he did that his entire career. He never wanted to miss games. And listen, I've said it before. he played some really valuable minutes for the edmonton oilers and i know that he was a hot button topic in edmonton he said himself in his press conference you know there was a target kind of on him that didn't seem to go away and you can feel that way for sure and there's no question for darnell he was always a hot topic in this city and i wish him nothing the best i like this from san jose's perspective to be honest with you they're a young team he's a veteran core guy that's played a lot of years in this league that's going to step right in there give him some leadership physicality
