But they were just better, period.

And I think for Edmonton, I never want to take away that creativity and that offensive mentality that this team has because I think it is a major weapon and it's something that they're going to utilize on a night-to-night basis.

But at the same time, reel in the defensive structure, make it a harder team to play against, let that offense go to work when it matters most.

I think the reason why there's a little bit of a push and why it's getting probably more attention than it normally would is there's a number of teams now that are looking for a head coach.

So there's a little bit of a bidding war there and a race to get the guy you want.

And I think that there's, you know, some high-quality coaches out there, some guys that have won, some guys that have been there.

And I think that for every team, I think the New York Islanders did it right when they got Peter DeBoer late in the season.

And I think people scratched their head at that decision.

But when you look at it now, it was really intelligent to do that before this happened.

And now you've got a whole bunch of teams that are going to state their case and put in their effort to try and bring a coach on board and win that coach to come and coach their team.

So...

There isn't, though.

There is time and you obviously want to get the right guy.

You obviously want to try and get the coach that comes in here and you feel best gives you the opportunity to do the right things on the ice and bring the right identity, culture, system into your organization and

and move forward.

So, no, listen, rules are rules, right?

We complain every single night when we see a missed call, a bad call, a goal turned over that maybe we thought should have counted or one that counted that maybe we thought should have turned over.

Rules are rules.
