So I understand why they went out and acquired him, why they signed him, and felt he could come in and fill a void.

Because let's face it, Bob, I mean, Darnell Nurse, was his game perfect?

No.

But I'll tell you what, he did a lot of good things for Edmonton.

He was their toughest player, came to play every single night, was a true pro.

And there's going to be minutes there that are going to have to be eaten up by different people.

And they're not easy minutes.

So there's going to be some pressure for these young guys that come in and do that job right away.

A guy like Jake Wallman, he's going to be elevated most likely.

And I think that's obviously what Mike Babcock talked about in the coaching staff with DJ Smith coming in, that this is going to be by committee.

And it looks like they have guys that are really eager and hungry to come in here and make some noise.

And I think that it's going to be the guy that grabs the reins and goes.

Anderson, though, is a real veteran goaltender, similar to Tristan Jari.
