They've always led this team, and they're going to have to lead by example.

So when I look at a team that needs to take the next step, and I don't know why it always comes back to this for me, I look at Steve Eisenman, who is one of my favorite players.

I love the way Steve Eisenman played.

Obviously, he played with Bob Cobert, who I loved.

He was my favorite guy.

But, you know, I used to watch the Wings a lot being in Ontario.

I was kind of in London, right in the middle between Detroit, Toronto, the rivalry.

I didn't really vote a cheer for either one of them to an extent, like Wendell Clark with the Leafs, too.

So I kind of leaned there a little bit later when I started to step into pro hockey.

But, yeah.

When I look at Steve Eisenman and the point totals that he was putting up early in his career, it wasn't until he made an adjustment.

Now, injuries played a part in that for Steve Eisenman.

He still put up big numbers.

But if you look, it took him 14 and 15 years to win his first two Stanley Cups in a week.

He just kept persevering, but he changed as a player.

He wasn't putting up the 155, 130, 120-point seasons anymore.

It was the 80, 90, 95.

The plus-minus has started to change to plus 30 instead of minus 20, 25 early in his career when the wings weren't very good.

There was a mentality shift.

Now, he had a plethora of guys that he played with.
