So there is a shortfall and they have to make it up quick.

Uh, Michelle, it's definitely a factor because we are talking about a good defense.

You when you have a great a great offense, a good defense is also needed because you're you know you're gonna be receiving incoming fire as retaliatory attacks and that's actually what we've seen from Iran.

Whenever there's been this tit for tat, the the Iranians have been launching missiles and drones at US bases or partner nations in the region.

And it's been these kinds of missiles that have been f providing the protection.

And so we know uh exactly as you said that a few weeks ago when President Trump was contemplating ramping up the level of attacks against Iran, uh we know that uh chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Dan Cain, one of the factors that he brought up was

with the president was um the the levels of munitions and the concerns that there might not be enough in the region.

But he's also thinking holistically.

He's worrying about uh the United States's military uh posture around the world.

And so he's also thinking, do we have enough to

That could put us at risk uh elsewhere.

Um, I think one of the big things obviously that this administration has been really focused on is the Indo-Pacific, um Asia, the Asian theater of operations.

So um yes, that one of the factors that was presented uh to the president a few weeks ago about uh potentially going back in uh to operations against Iran and r and ramping them up was essentially that.

Uh are we putting ourselves at risk because

Yes, the risk of retaliatory strikes from Iran has been present throughout this whole conflict.

And if we ramp up our operations, well they in turn ramp up their operations, putting our forces at risk.

Well, I think the administration is convinced that they can ramp up production, but the question is under what timeline?

Is there enough time right now?

Uh if hostilities were to drag on, that where the United States would be able to produce more of these air defense systems at speed, and that's the really big question.

Missiles have shelf lives.
