It was actually a good thing for me because had he been very moving I would have fallen to pieces because I was very close to my father.
So the fact that it was so absurd

And about fifteen minutes into this
Um and we're all sitting there politely 'cause he's such a nice old gentleman.

My husband leans over and he says, Um
I see your father standing next to the minister.
He looks very impatient.
He's tapping his foot and his arms are crossed.
And I you know, I thought, Okay, Steve.
Um you know, i it's not that I didn't believe him, but it it's that that alone would not impress me.
But there was something that happened a week later that did.
that day we didn't have time to have conversations with too many people 'cause basically you're just people are coming in, you're saying a few words and then, you know, they move on.
And uh a week after the funeral my brother in law Tom, who neither one of us had had a chance to speak to
since the funeral.
Um called up and said, Louisa
I didn't want to say anything the day of the funeral, but um I just thought you might like to know that while the minister was talking, I saw your father standing next to him.
