You even saw the Taoiseach in March having to stand up for the British PM.
But, you know, how do you balance it?
How do you balance the Epstein files controversy on the same day that King Charles is going to be giving a speech in the Capitol?
There's going to be protests outside and there's going to be people coming in and speaking to Congress.
So I think this is going to be really interesting.
He said on the podcast shortly before he made those comments, he'd been out for dinner with you the previous evening.
I don't know if I'd call it an apology.
I think what he said was, oh, I may have overstepped or I may have overreached or something to that effect.
But he still largely stood by what he was saying as well.
And I mean, I think just in terms of what you were asking Lucinda about, you know, is Leo going to be the new hallmark of a young Taoiseach walking away?
This is the same Leo Varadkar who actually, you know, Fergus mentioned Gareth Fitzgerald.
Leo said something about Fitzgerald writing boring articles.
And I mean, this was something that a conversation that was already kind of being had in government buildings prior to this Path to Power podcast last week.
And people saying, you know, when do you hear from Bertie Ahern?
when he's either trying to become Fianna Fรกil president or speaking about the Good Friday Agreement, when do you hear from Enda, Kenny?
And people were kind of saying, you know, is this, you know, Leo has to call him in the Sunday Times occasionally, he's doing podcasts, he's doing media interviews to a lesser extent, but he's getting into fights with people on Twitter.
Like, he's still very much, you know, active.
I don't know necessarily if that's fair.
