And also, you're in a system that's not necessarily improving.
In fact, I think we could argue it's probably getting worse.
Is it the human condition to avoid that kind of change?
I couldn't agree more.
And I think that's a really good point, I think, because we are in midlife and we talk and we know that the people listening to us are often in that phase of life too.
And I think we've got to remember, I think it's really easy at 54 for me to go, oh, my new learning's done now.
Yeah.
And if we're in winter, maybe I'm just, you know, going into my cave a little bit as well.
Who knows?
Again, I have no problem switching off when I get home, but my husband needs to hear this, yeah.
And I think there's a risk too when you're starting to get towards that empty nest phase where if your children aren't there, you still need to switch on or off with your partner because kids kind of force you into it in some ways, but you need to still do it like, oh no, we can just keep working now because it's just the two of us.
That's disastrous in my books.
And you keep coming back to that.
And that's the key.
It's the being awake, isn't it?
It's the conscious decisions rather than the unconscious ones.
That's amazing.
And I'm looking at it right now.
It's not a thick book, people.
