It's not saying, oh, it's enough.
You know, the results were good enough.
That doesn't work in science.
You don't get good science.
You don't get future innovations and medicines and drugs by good enough, because the bit that's not good enough could be, you know, losing lives.
We're driven by this group of people who are academically brilliant and perfectionist, driving medicine forward.
And then saying to them, okay, you've also at the same time to further your career, to be able to communicate about your research.
You've also got to be able to tone it down enough and turn off that perfectionist setting
when you're communicating about it in a foreign language or when you communicated about it in your own language and you don't feel you represented yourself as well.
All of this whole area of turning the perfectionism button or dial up and down depending on the situation is hard.
That's a big thing, isn't it?
And not just in the biotech startups, but in cross-functional teams.
You have a group of scientists sitting around the same table, each an expert in their field, and wanting to give that depth.
Because it's important to them, it's important what they know and why, and being able to simplify it.
So that somebody knows enough and knows that point that makes it worth investing in, that makes it worth taking that next step forward.
That is an art.
Yeah.
And I think that's a struggle for everyone speaking the same language.
But I don't know how many meetings there are these days, particularly in pharma and biotech, where you have only native speakers in whatever language.
It just doesn't happen.
