And I think that's the way that we both work with our clients, basically, isn't it?

It's a matter of saying...

There is anxiety in this situation.

It is here with us.

Why?

Because this is the thing, is getting curious about, there's anxiety.

We're all sensitive people, some of us more than others.

But I think most people can tell in a room, in a meeting, when anxiety is in the meeting.

I seem to remember there's some research saying that fear is contagious.

and that we can actually sense this.

So it's quite nice saying anxiety is here because it might not be my anxiety.

I might be picking up on somebody else's anxiety and then get curious about why would there be anxiety in this situation?

What are people nervous about?

Yes.

And we generally don't share all of ourselves when we're feeling under threat.

Which means we're not sharing all of our work, all of our experience, all our thoughts, if we feel we're in a threatening environment.

Because subconsciously we're keeping ourselves safe.

And if the threat is translated from a sort of historical perspective,

ancestral, this is life-threatening.
