Yeah.

So he is a very long time Labor advisor.

He has been in the cabinet and out of it.

Other than the thing that makes him controversial, I guess if you're very familiar with Australian politics, you might compare him to someone like Graham Richardson, who was a Labor operator for many, many years.

Very, very influential behind the scenes and in front of the scenes.

So Peter Mandelson has been extensively linked, was friends with,

Jeffrey Epstein.

So that is going to be kind of a really tough thing to work around politically.

And this was well known when Keir Starmer appointed him as the UK's ambassador to the US in February 2025.

So when we first reported on this at TDA, I went back and did some digging through the internet archive and I was like, okay, there was extensive publication of the fact that this guy, despite obviously being

a Labor power broker, very important in the UK Labor Party, is also like, was at this point well known to have been linked to Jeffrey Epstein.

You couldn't say you didn't know.

It's very like, how could you not have known?

Okay.

And if you did know, then maybe it's like, okay, well, just because you're friends with someone doesn't, you know, mean X, Y, Z. Yeah.

With the release of the Epstein files, though, we got a lot more information about their connection, including what appears to be, allegedly speaking, Mandelson setting up meetings between Epstein and powerful people in the UK.

And based on that, UK police start investigating him for misconduct in public office.

Now, this is obviously not to do with his role as an ambassador, because by that point, Epstein has been dead for years.

This is back when he is in the cabinet.
