The BBC Concert Orchestra is going to be part of that.
And it will be performing scores from some of the iconic sequences in his docos, like
The Racer Snakes and Iguanas Chase in Planet Earth 2.
The Orcas in Frozen Planet 2.
Bastille's Dan Smith is going to be joining the orchestra performing Pompeii, which was used in Planet Earth 3.
Icelandic band Sigur Rรณs is also performing a song, one of their songs that was used in Planet Earth back in 2006.
For us here back home though, the ABC is going to be streaming that concert and it will be available to watch on iView.
The ABC's also got a whole heap of programming throughout the month of May celebrating Attenborough's biggest and lesser-known older documentaries.
And if you're in Sydney this weekend, it's worth knowing that the Australian Museum from today through to Sunday is actually offering free entry to their current exhibition.
In Attenborough's honours, it's called Bloodsuckers, Nature's Vampires.
The exhibition has nothing to do with Attenborough, but it's free for a couple of days in honour of Attenborough to make natural history more accessible to more people.
And visitors are also invited to write letters or draw pictures for Attenborough, which will be sent to him directly.
I'll be all over it this weekend for free.
