The moment that we were born as men, that was guaranteed to us.
That was never guaranteed to women.
So you had to fight for that.
And through that hardship and that fighting, you know, that opened you up and that cracked you open to be able to experience humanity and being more open to this sort of work and this kind of messaging.
Whereas as men, we never had to experience that hardship and it's made it really difficult for us to be open.
You know, we were never cracked open in the way that women were through hardship, I think, you know.
So that's my sort of, that's my views upon it.
And it's not calling men out.
It is calling men in.
Calling men in.
But male silence, and this once again is so rooted in shame.
Because once again, while we stay silent, we don't have to confront the shame that lives within us.
And I think my biggest indicator of this, my biggest teacher of this, was when I went through my addiction.
I was playing professional sport.
I lived in male culture surrounded by hundreds and thousands of men my entire life.
And when I went through hardship, when I was at the point of taking my own life and
The people who came to my aid were not the men, not the people who label themselves as the protectors and the providers.
That narrative is so debunked.
The big strong men in my life, the protectors and the providers, they were nowhere to be seen.
It was the women in my life.
