Yeah, so reading was always a part of my life.
It's always been from the day I was born.
You know, mum used to read.
Mum talks about it.
She would be, because I have a twin sister.
So mum would be breastfeeding me and my twin sister and I have an older brother.
And so while she would be breastfeeding me and my twin sister, she would be reading a book to my brother to sort of keep him occupied while she was breastfeeding.
So I've had books read to me since I was literally one week old and then mum was a single parent for a while and we would have ritual every night when we were little kids.
We would all jump, me, my brother, my sister, all three of us kids would jump into bed with mum and we would have bedtime stories and mum would read us a book before bed and in her bed and that was our nightly ritual.
And then once I...
was able to learn when I went to school and learned to read myself.
And books and stories was just something I fell into and I've just paired so well, you know, I'd always grown up around books and my mum, you know, my mum modelled reading around the home.
My mum's a massive reader.
So mum was always reading.
I always saw my mum reading.
My mum was always reading to us or reading to herself.
And then once I was able to read myself and I think, you know, pair that with my dreams and my imagination, that was just, it was just natural to me.
