And they were a part of like a genie family.

So their family were genies.

And they would literally fly around the world on a magic carpet and they had the lamp, you know, they had the lamp you could rub.

And I think their uncle lived in the lamp.

And they would fly around the world and they would travel to, you know, like the Great Wall of China or the pyramids, you know, these...

these really famous landmarks in the world and they would sort of battle monsters there or demons or that or other like bad genies and they'd save the world what a really cool series especially for a kid in western queensland to be transported to those places was there a particular destination or adventure that really stood out for you

In one of them, they go to the Great Wall of China and the terracotta warriors all come to life and the terracotta warriors are sort of controlled by like a bad genie and they sort of have to fight the terracotta warriors and stuff.

And so, yeah, for a young kid in Western Queensland, you know, to be in China at the Great Wall fighting terracotta warriors, it was really –

that's what really inspired this love of fantasy and imagination, escapism in me, because for a young kid on a farm who, and back then, you know, the, the internet was sort of only just like an early thing and we didn't have a computer or anything.

So my world was very small and this allowed my world to be very big.

You loved books.

Your other big love was rugby league.

What did you love about the game so much?

I was always a kid, I still am an adult, who if I do something, I really want to apply myself to it and master it and be good at it and have confidence and competence in it.

It was like that in all areas of my life growing up, but rugby league was always something that presented a real challenge that I always wanted to be competent at it and I always wanted to

put my best performance.

I always wanted to, no matter how good I was last weekend, I always wanted to show up and be good again.

And it was that challenge of always showing up and how do I...

recreate and replicate really good performances week in, week out.

And I think that it gave me discipline, it gave me purpose, it gave me drive.
