Yeah, I was a little bit surprised, to be quite honest, just because, you know, there was a lot of names thrown out there.

Patrick Waugh, Joe Pavelski, Peter Laviolette, Bruce Cassidy.

Jim Hiller is not the sexy name, right?

He doesn't move the needle.

I think a lot of people, when they got that notification, they felt a little underwhelmed.

I mean, you guys know him well.

I thought he had a poor coaching job in the playoffs against those Oilers when they were up 2-0 in the series and couldn't close the deal.

Bad challenge.

you know, all due respect to Edmonton.

But I think with a better coach behind the bench, maybe L.A.

wins that last series that Hiller had.

And then he got fired midway through, and DJ Smith came in and rallied the team to the playoffs.

So it's not, you know, it's not the big name that gets the whole fan base excited.

But then yesterday, you know, we were on the Zoom call with Hiller, and I understand it a little more.

because he's very aligned with Chayka's vision.

He's very open to analytics and data, which is important to the new GM.

So it's good to have a coach that sees the game in a similar way.

I think when there's a disconnect between the bench and the front office, that only spells trouble.

So that's a plus.

And the other one is he knows the market.
