Sure, he needs to improve defensively, but what teenager doesn't, right? But the offensive abilities entice you, and I'm sure Austin Matthews would be thrilled if they take Gavin McKenna.

Uh, surprise, um, divisive character. Uh, you know, I don't like the stuff that went on with Marner or Mike Comet or Johan Franzen. It's, and I don't know if he's going to change his ways. You hope he does. It feels like a bit of a Hail Mary. I find it really fascinating that the Oilers leadership group pushed for this.
I know having covered the whole Hyman Babcock era that Hyman was basically his favorite player, him and Connor Brown. He always wished everyone had the work ethic of Brown and Hyman, Brown and Hyman. He would say it all the time. So I hope it works out for them. But it does feel like a bit of a Hail Mary.
