They were a disaster pretty much by every defensive metric, where it was off the rush or in zone, zone exits.
They were a bit of a tire fire, and that was probably the main reason why they tumbled down to fifth last place in the whole league.
So to that end, they want to be a team that possesses the puck more, that breaks it out quicker.
They address some of their penalty-killing needs.
with some of the four forwards, you know, less sexy additions, but you know, guys who are fine playing in their own end yesterday as well.

So, so they, they kind of filled in some gaps there and didn't spend too much, but absolutely.
That's a priority for this team is to tighten up defensively and, and give Bobrovsky a better environment in which to work and, and,
I think the familiarity with Anthony Stolarz, those guys were really tight.
And Stolarz, as the hockey world knows, isn't a guy you can bank on for 50 starts.
If you get 35 good ones out of him with his wonky knees and now he's coming off a bad groin, you'll take that.
And then hopefully they can share the net and put a little bit less stress on Bobrovsky.
And he doesn't have to start 60 games or something at age 38.
