Culture changes every time one person leaves the football club and someone else comes back in.

When you have five or six people that are role players in your team that leave, it takes a long time for teams to adjust.

So if you look at the blokes that Ainsworth, Budrick, Fiorini, Flanders, David Swallow, who was obviously injured a little bit, but –

they were the main pillars who played a special certain role in that football club.

You throw him in with Petrarca, who's still trying to understand his teammates and his role in the club, even though he's been playing some good football individually.

Then you've got Patterson, you've got Zeke Ewell, and you've got Jai Murray.

You got these guys that have stepped up who are new to the football club, high draft picks, who are trying to understand their role.

They're trying to understand how to play football.

So if you look like they're not connected, because they're not.

And that's not the fact that they're not trying to be.

It's they're implemented three, four, five new young guys and a senior guy into this football club.

And the most important part of a culture of a footy club is the five guys who they've sent out who are role players.

So as much as we sort of look at it and go, yes, you can pick it apart because they are trying to work together because it's the first year of doing it.

I was the big one with Kernow.

I was defensive of Kernow early on when people were saying that he's not doing enough for what they gave up for him because he's a new forward in a team where they move the ball totally different to what Carlton.

So you've got to give an individual player time to adjust.

that you've got to give a team time to adjust when they bring in five or six new players into a side and have five or six role players go out.
